This may be a fantasy piece made after 1904, the year that the Railhead Saloon in Tombstone is purported to have issued it. Even so, it would very rare. Most such fantasy pieces were made as tourist attractions in the 1910's-30's, in very small quantities, and were seldom saved as may have been the case with a silver dollar. Either way, it captures the spirit of the West in general and Tombstone in particular to the 'T'!

Silver dollar size brass token engraved 'Railhead Saloon, Tombstone Arizona Territory'! The railhead would have been that of the El Paso and Southwestern RR, the town's first rail connection, opened in 1903. The token was an 'All Night $3 Check' and also good for $1 in Trade toward 'Girls Whiskey and Tobacco'. The ultimate Tombstone gift, and the only one in our archives!!
